Man wanted for attempted murder flees from Indio Police mid-investigation

Indio Police are asking for the public's help in searching for 21-year-old, Manuel Victor Guerra III from Indio.

Guerra is wanted for attempted murder. He was said to flee from Indio Police officers amid an ongoing investigation on a shooting February 29.

According to IPD shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday, officers arrived to Valencia Ave. after several shots were reportedly heard in the area.

There officers found a male adult with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. That victim was taken to nearby hospital via ambulance.

Because of the nature of the shooting, Indio Police Street Crime Unit Detectives then responded to the location and assumed the investigation.

During that investigation, Guerra was identified as the suspect. He then fled the scene.

IPD say his whereabouts are unknown and that Guerra is wanted for attempted murder.
