Importance of volunteers displayed in partnership between BNP Paribas Open and Spotlight 29 Casino

The BNP Paribas Open has launched a new partnership with Spotlight 29 Casino in Coachella to bring some new additions to this year's tournament at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

"This is the jewel of desert, and we couldn't be more fortunate than to have the BNP Paribas select us as their exclusive casino resort for the entire Coachella Valley," according to George Nicholas, Chief Administrative Officer for Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians.

2024 is the first year the tournament features a volunteer lounge for the event's more than 1,200 volunteers. The spacious tent offers volunteers a space to escape the elements and rest in air conditioning. Volunteers can watch the tennis matches or spin a wheel for the chance to win fun prizes.

"Volunteers is where we dedicate our investment into these events because of how important they are to making them happen. Without them, the players and the owners of these beautiful venues can't make these run," said Nicholas.

This year, Spotlight 29 Casino is sponsoring the return of an on-site radio broadcast. 50,000 earpiece radios will be given away, which will allow tennis fans at the event to listen to a live play-by-play broadcast of several matches throughout the tournament.

The radio earpieces can be picked up at the Spotlight 29 Casino activation booth near the main gate.
