Two homes destroyed, seven people displaced by fire in Desert Hot Springs
A fire destroyed two homes and left two people injured in Desert Hot Springs Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported at around 5:35 a.m. on the 66800 block of Estrella Avenue, east of Mesquite Avenue.
CAL FIRE officials said the fire started at a single-story home and spread to the house next door.




Two people suffered minor injuries but declined further medical assistance, CAL FIRE said. Fire officials said seven people were displaced.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
