Two homes destroyed, seven people displaced by fire in Desert Hot Springs
A fire destroyed two homes and left two people injured in Desert Hot Springs Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported at around 5:35 a.m. on the 66800 block of Estrella Avenue, east of Mesquite Avenue.
CAL FIRE officials said the fire started at a single-story home and spread to the house next door.
Two people suffered minor injuries but declined further medical assistance, CAL FIRE said. Fire officials said seven people were displaced. Â Â
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
