UPDATE: Family of motorcyclist killed in Palm Springs crash speaks out
A man that was killed in a Palm Springs motorcycle crash earlier this week has been identified by his family.
Nineteen-year-old Nathen Wilson was riding his motorcycle Monday night in the area of E Palm Canyon Drive and Golf Club Drive when he collided with a car.
News Channel 3's Athena Jreij spoke with Nathen's mother, Tasha East, on how she's choosing to remember her son.
Around 8:15 p.m. Monday, officers arrived to the scene and found a motorcyclist lying in the roadway with significant injuries, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
"Despite life-saving efforts by the Palm Springs Fire Department, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene," reads a PSPD news release.
Alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash. The Palm Springs Police Department is continuing to investigate the collision.
