Traffic Alert: Our Lady of Guadalupe Pilgrimage will be held Thursday

The annual Our Lady of Guadalupe Pilgrimage will take place on Thursday. Thousands of Catholic faithful will walk 30 miles across the Coachella Valley.

Drivers are advised to keep an eye out for pedestrians and road closures as the pilgrimage makes its way through the valley.

After a 5:00 a.m. mass service, the pilgrimage walk will begin at 6:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Solitude in Palm Springs. It is expected to last around 13 hours later (Approximately 7:00 p.m.) at the Valley Missionary Program in Coachella.

The pilgrimage will be escorted by law enforcement.
