Suspected DUI crash leaves one person injured in La Quinta
A car collision in La Quinta halted traffic early Thursday morning.
The crash was reported at around 5:35 a.m. in the area of Avenue 52 and Jefferson Street.
According to Cal Fire, firefighters responded to a vehicle into a tree that caught on fire.
Two patients were discovered in the vehicle, one with minor injuries avoided further medical attention, and one with moderate injuries was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital.
The driver was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, the Riverside County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
