Local students receive March 2025 ‘Do the Right Thing’ award

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (KESQ) - Some Coachella Valley students were recognized on Wednesday with the March 2025 "Do the Right Thing" award, which is a partnership between Palm Springs Police Department and News Channel 3.

These students were chosen for their positive attitudes and their contributions to the community:

  • Lydia Givens - Painted Hills Middle School
  • Augustine Youssef - Desert Christian Academy
  • Jimena Ochoa - Benjamin Franklin Elementary School
  • Abraham Miranda - Amistad High School
  • Ashlynn Panzo - Oasis Elementary School
  • Jason Solano - Katherine Finchy Elementary School
  • Humberto Urbano - Coachella Valley High School
