COACHELLA VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) - Easter is this weekend, and we've compiled a list of events throughout the Coachella Valley.

Saturday Events:

  • Desert Recreation District Arbor Day Tree Planting Event and Indio Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt
    • Desert Recreation District invites the community to come together for a special Arbor Day Tree Planting Event on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Indio Community Park, located at 45 871 Clinton Street in Indio. The tree planting event begins at 9:00 a.m. and will be immediately followed by the Indio Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Annual Easter Eggstravaganza at La Quinta Park
    • The City of La Quinta invites the community to its annual Easter Eggstravaganza at La Quinta Park for a festive morning of family-friendly activities. The event runs fro 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, the Egg hunt begins at 9:00 AM sharp
  • Ben & Jerry's at the River
    • Free event hosted by Ben and Jerry's, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Easter bunny photo op and goodie bags
  • Eggventure at The Shops Free Family-friendly Event
    • A fun-filled, family-friendly Easter celebration featuring a trick-or-treat–style egg hunt, crafts, live music, and giveaways. Children will visit participating stores throughout the center to collect Easter treats, while enjoying pre-event activities including bag decorating and entertainment.
    • WHEN: Saturday, April 4 • 3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Sunday Events:

  • Sunrise Service at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway
    • Celebrate Easter Sunrise Service at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway’s Mountain Station. Enjoy songs of faith, hope and joy by the Perkins Brothers, and an inspirational message by Pastor Robert Sneed.
    • The service begins at 5:15 a.m., with the first tram car up at 4:30 a.m. Sunrise Service tickets are $24.95 for adults and seniors, and $13.95 for children ages 3-10. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Tramway’s Valley Station during normal business hours or on Easter morning from 4:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
