Local immigration lawyer speaks on President Trump’s new birthright citizenship executive orders

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (KESQ) - After President Trump's second round of birthright citizenship executive orders were signed today, a local immigration attorney is breaking down the order's new provisions.

Ally Bolour with the Bolour/Carl Immigration Group in Palm Springs says he doubts the executive order will have an impact with the Supreme Court's recent ruling to uphold the 14th amendment.

The President's second attempt at curbing birthright citizenship outlines stricter guidelines for children of foreign diplomats, alien enemies, those born in U.S. territories, and for purposes the administration calls 'birth tourism.'

However, Bolour says guidelines already exist to limit 'birth tourism,' and claims it is unlikely a pregnant woman already showing would be granted a visa.
