Death investigation underway in Palm Desert

PALM DESERT, CA (KESQ)— A death investigation is underway Friday at The Enclave condo community in Palm Desert after deputies found a person unresponsive at the complex.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office told News Channel 3 that deputies were called at approximately 9:48 a.m. to the condo community in the 35000 block of Gateway Drive for an unknown trouble call.

When deputies arrived, they found a person unresponsive. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit has since taken over the investigation.

Crime scene tape was visible at the complex Friday afternoon, and a heavy sheriff’s presence remained at the property as investigators continued working the scene.

Authorities have not said how the person died and have not released any identifying information.

The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have not provided additional details about the circumstances surrounding the death.
