Three injured in vehicle vs. motorcycle collision in Coachella

COACHELLA, Calif. — Three people were injured early Friday morning following a vehicle-versus-motorcycle collision in Coachella, according to CAL FIRE.

The collision was reported at approximately 5:02 a.m. near Avenue 54 and Tyler Street.

CAL FIRE reported that three patients were involved in the crash. Two patients sustained minor injuries, while a third patient suffered serious injuries.

All three patients were transported from the scene by ground ambulance for further medical treatment.

Following the initial emergency response, CAL FIRE said the incident was turned over to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office, which will handle the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.

No additional information regarding the identities of those involved or the cause of the crash was immediately available.
