Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month brings attention to symptoms and early detection

THOUSAND PALMS, Calif. (KESQ) — September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, putting a spotlight on a disease expected to impact thousands of women across the country this year.

The American Cancer Society estimates about 21,010 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the U.S. in 2026, and about 12,450 will die from the disease.

News Channel 3 is speaking with an ovarian cancer survivor about her experience and why she is choosing to share her story.
