Art For All gives donated supplies a second life

LA QUINTA, Calif. (KESQ) — Art supplies are getting a second life in La Quinta through Art for All, a community art store focused on making creativity more accessible.

The store sells donated art and craft materials on a pay-what-you-can model, helping teachers, families, artists and other community members find supplies at a price that works for them.

Art for All also aims to reduce waste by keeping unused materials out of the trash and putting them back into the hands of people who can use them.

Proceeds help support arts education and outreach throughout the Coachella Valley.

People can also donate unused art supplies to help keep the cycle going.

Donations can be dropped off at Old Town Artisan Studios, 78046 Calle Barcelona in La Quinta, on Tuesdays from 2 to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.
