Pedestrian seriously injured after being struck by vehicle in Desert Hot Springs

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, Calif. (KESQ) - UPDATE: 9/30 2PM- Desert Hot Springs Police tell News Channel 3 that a pedestrian was crossing Palm Drive when he was struck by a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.

He was taken to a local hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police tell us the driver stayed and cooperated with officers, and that there was "no impairment on the part of the driver."

The roadway was closed for over 3 hours, before it was reopened just before 10 p.m.

Palm Drive was closed for several hours after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening in Desert Hot Springs.

The crash was reported just after 7:00 p.m. on Palm Drive and Ironwood Drive.
