Inside the classroom: How PSUSD’s new phone policy is working

Students across the Palm Springs Unified School District have now had time to adjust to new restrictions on cellphone use during the school day.

News Channel 3 previously reported on the district's new phone policy and what it would mean for students.

Now, we're following up to see how it's actually working inside the classroom.

News Channel 3 spoke with students and a teacher at Rancho Mirage High School about what they've noticed since the changes took effect; from classroom distractions and student focus to the challenges of going through the school day without constant access to a phone.

Are students noticing a difference? And do teachers believe the policy is having the impact it was designed to have?
