Halloween and time change overlap: How to prepare your sleep schedule

COACHELLA VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) — Halloween celebrations could mean a late night for many Coachella Valley residents—and this year, the clocks change just hours after the holiday.

Daylight saving time ends Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2 a.m., when clocks move back one hour. While that creates an opportunity for extra sleep, staying up later could cut into that rest.

News Channel 3 is looking at how the combination of Halloween plans and the time change could affect sleep heading into the work and school week, and why preparing before the weekend may help.

Watch News Channel 3 for advice on preparing for the change and keeping your sleep schedule on track.
