Nevada beats New Mexico 79-72 in MWC tourney

LAS VEGAS — Grant Sherfield had 27 points and 10 rebounds as Nevada topped New Mexico 79-72 in the Mountain West Conference Tournament first round. Jaelen House led the Lobos on Wednesday with 19 points and seven assists.
