1 person killed in fiery Palm Desert overnight crash
Cal Fire confirmed one person died early Saturday morning when a vehicle hit a pole, resulting in a fire.
The accident took place on Highway 111 near Monterey just before 1:30am.
It was a solo traffic collision and the fire was put out shortly after crews arrived on scene.
No word on if there were any other passengers involved.
