Early morning blaze destroys home in Palm Springs
Firefighters were called out to a home on fire in Palm Springs early Tuesday morning. According to Palm Springs Fire officials they were called out to a fire on the 2700 Block of Cardillo Avenue just after 4:00 a.m. Crews discovered a fully involved single-story home on fire and they initiated an aggressive attack to put it out.
An occupant of the home met fire crews when they arrived to alert them he was the sole occupant of the house. A search of the home confirmed that.
The fire caused significant damage to the majority of the house, and the Red Cross has been called in to help the displaced homeowner. No other homes were damaged by the fire.
