Watch: CAL FIRE hosts procession for fallen Cabazon firefighters

The Riverside County Fire Department and CAL FIRE escorted the bodies of the firefighters whose lives were claimed in the Cabazon helicopter crash just days ago.

Fallen firefighters Josh Bischof and Tim Rodriguez were escorted from the Riverside County Coroner's Office in Perris at 12:45 p.m. Thursday.

The procession traveled to the mortuary, where the firefighters will be honored and laid to rest.

Pilot Tony Sousa, who also died in the tragedy, will have a separate procession at a later date.

CalFire issued a statement, stating, "To the families of our fallen heroes, we extend our deepest sympathies. The entire fire service community stands with you in your sorrow. We thank our community for the outpouring of grief, love, and support as we navigate this heartbreaking event."

The procession starts at the Coroner's Office at 800 S. Redlands Avenue, Perris, CA 92570, and will travel to Evans Brown Mortuary, 27010 Encanto Drive, Menifee, CA 92585.
