(CNN) — Massive landslides and catastrophic flash floods have wreaked havoc at the Nepal-China border, destroying houses, wiping out bridges and killing more than 1,000 people. Additionally, thousands are still unaccounted for on both sides of the border.

Video footage and satellite imagery shows the immense scale of the disaster in some of the areas hit hardest by the floods.
