Car hits home in Desert Hot Springs

No injuries were reported after a car slammed into a Desert Hot Springs home Sunday.

A family was forced from their home on the 66,000 block of Acoma Avenue when a car smashed into it causing minor damage.

The collision was reported at 7:16 p.m.

The American Red Cross was helping five people including four children with temporary living accommodations.

There was no immediate word on how the driver lost control of the vehicle.
