Two new affordable housing developments are opening in the east valley. Ribbon cutting ceremonies for both are scheduled for Thursday, January 30th.

The Coachella Valley Housing Coalition says they are pleased to announce these two new multi-family affordable farm worker developments and their grand opening ceremonies.

Paseo de Los Heroes III will take place at 11 AM at: 91180 Avenue 64 in Mecca. Villa Hermosa II is scheduled at 2:30 PM at: 83681 Dr. Carreon Blvd. in Indio.

Villa Hermosa II in Indio will consist of 67, two to four bedroom housing units. These units are spread out over 24 one and two-story stucco buildings, constructed in a California modern style of architecture.

Paseo de Los Heroes III in Mecca will have 80 units. Both developments have been built with a commitment to green energy. All units are equipped with energy efficient refrigerators, washers/dryers, stoves/ovens etc.

Both developments also offer after school programs and tutoring services to families living on site.
