Large warehouse fire shuts down I-10 freeway lanes in Redlands

Firefighters were working to contain a large warehouse fire in Redlands Friday morning.

The California Highway Patrol shut down both directions of Interstate 10 between California and the Mountainview interchanges after the fire was first reported at 5:31 a.m.

Media reports indicate the fire was burning at an Amazon.com distribution center. The warehouse is located West Lugonia Avenue, according to the Redlands Fire Department.

Eastbound freeway lanes were open again at 7:05 a.m.

All Freeway lanes were reopened as of 7:19 a.m. as the fire continued to burn. Smoke from the flames was drifting away from the freeway.
