Fourth of July weekend festivities throughout the Coachella Valley

Fourth of July Weekend is in full swing throughout the Coachella Valley.

Palm Springs has events planned all throughout the weekend, leading up to the Fourth of July.

The city originally planned a concert followed by a drone show in Downtown Park, but due to high winds the drone was postponed until September.

People in Desert Hot Springs were able to enjoy a traditional fireworks show in Mission Springs Park on Saturday.

Roberta Crncic, Executive Program Director with Desert Hot Springs says, "We're really excited to do it today actually because then the community can also enjoy all the other firework shows going on in the valley.”

City officials tell me they continue to put safety first throughout the holiday weekend.

"No letting off big ones in our city, just 'safe and sane.' Let it be the professional setting off the big fireworks," says Crncic.

Agua Caliente Casinos are offering Fourth of July festivities all weekend long.

On Saturday and Sunday, they're hosting a roller rink for the entire family.

"We're going to have a roller rink with a DJ, shaved ice, cornhole, adult size Jenga, all the fun," says Jessica Newton, Agua Caliente Casinos Media Director.

Newton also tells me the Fourth of July events throughout the casino are family friendly.

It's safe to say there are plenty of options to celebrate Fourth of July weekend all throughout the valley.
