COACHELLA VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) - Two bills attempting to address rising healthcare costs failed in the Senate today. Now Americans are set to pay more for healthcare in the new year. For millions of people, insurance premiums will spike.

On top of that, Medicaid cuts are affecting more than half of the state's children.

News Channel 3 morning anchor Angela Chen looks into the healthcare crisis that is now expected to erupt and how it will specifically impact the Coachella Valley.
