Boy airlifted after off-roading accident in Mecca
A boy suffered moderate injuries in an off-road riding accident in Mecca today and was airlifted to a hospital.
The crash happened about 12:35 p.m. near Desert Aire Drive southeast of Mecca, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The boy, whose name and age were not immediately released, was in a hard-to-reach area that required an air ambulance to be deployed, fire officials said.
Details about the off-road accident were not immediately available.
