RSO investigating body found in La Quinta trash can

Riverside County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a dead body found in a trash can in La Quinta.

At 11:41 a. m.. deputies responded to a report of a body found in a dumpster on the 43500 block of East Parkway Esplanade in La Quinta. After investigating the scene, deputies found a dead body inside of a trash can at a residence on the block.

The scene and investigation remain active.

No suspects are in custody at this time, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department's Media Information Bureau.

The residence is within a gated community.
