The Riverside County Coroner's Office has identified a man killed in a single-vehicle crash that also took the life of a woman last week in Cathedral City.

According to the Cathedral City Police Department, the crash was reported last Monday at approximately 12:07 a.m. on Dinah Shore Drive, about 130 feet east of Cathedral Canyon Drive.

"A preliminary investigation showed the vehicle traveling east on Dinah Shore at a high rate of speed and collided with the center divider," reads a CCPD Facebook post.

Anette Sepulveda, 47, of Hemet, was pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger, identified by the Coroner's Office as 54-year-old Concord resident Ricky Acuna, was hospitalized with major injuries.

The Coroner's Office confirmed that Acuna was pronounced dead at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs on Friday evening.

The department's Facebook post revealed that officers weren't sure whether alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash.

The Cathedral City Traffic Bureau conducted an investigation into the crash. No details on that investigation have been revealed at this time. Anyone with information on the crash can contact the Cathedral City Traffic Bureau at 760-770-0300 or info@cathedralcity.gov.
