Remains found in Joshua Tree identified as missing Canadian hiker

The remains of a Canadian hiker who went missing in July 2018 have been found and identified.

Tuesday morning, the "Find Paul Miller" Facebook page posted that Miller's remains had been found. The San Bernardino County Coroner's Bureau confirmed the information to News Channel 3 this afternoon.

"Thank you to everyone who has supported the search for answers into Paul's disappearance and provided much needed love and prayer for his family," read the Tuesday morning post from Find Paul Miller.

According to the post, the coroner's office contacted Miller's wife to confirm the findings. The remains were found near the 49 Palms Oasis Trail, where the 51-year-old was last seen on July 13, 2018.

Information regarding memorial services and a celebration of life will follow, according to the post.
