Bicyclist seriously injured after being struck by vehicle in Beaumont

A bicyclist has been hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Beaumont Monday morning.

The accident was reported at 10:47 a.m. in the area of Oak Valley Parkway and Palmer Avenue according to the Beaumont Police Department. Officers found a bicyclist suffering from serious injuries. Medics responded and transported the bicyclist to an area hospital.

The driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.

The investigation into this incident is active.
