The Palm Springs Air Museum is taking to the skies to thank essential workers throughout Coachella Valley for their help battling the coronavirus epidemic.

It’s a tribute called ‘Front Line Friday’ and it starts this week.

Three historic aircraft ready for take-off include the P-63 Kingcobra, a P-51 Mustang, and C-47 Skytrain. The plan is to fly over local cities and health care facilities each Friday in May.

On Memorial Day, all eight aircraft will fly in a circuit across Coachella Valley. The Air Museum will not do the traditional Memorial Day celebration and flower drop this year.
