Fire crews respond to blaze in Thermal
Cal Fire responded to a vegetation fire in Thermal that began just before nine Friday night.
The blaze was located on the 68000 block of Polk Street.
Officials say the fire was approximately 5 acres and was burning in several palm trees.
Fire crews have stopped the forward spread of the flames and will remain on scene for several hours.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
