Palm Springs Police rolls out Pride-themed patrol car

The Palm Springs Police Department is rolling out a new police cruiser maybe you've already seen it

It's a new cop car wrapped in rainbow in the spirit of pride.

PSPD officials said the vehicle was wrapped with this design recently to not only commemorate the diverse community but also honor our local pride event.

"It's all about diversity, inclusion and community engagement and that's where, you know, you got a lot of people talking about it. We've had our officer driving this, and he's been stopped to basically get questions about the vehicle itself. So, it's an opportunity to connect with the community, as we show that diversity and inclusion," said PSPD Lt. Gustavo Araiza.

PSPD plans on including the cruiser during this November's Pride celebrations. They also have plans for it to be featured at additional community events in the future.
