Ontario edges Firebirds in OT to hand CV its fifth-straight home loss

The Coachella Valley Firebirds suffered another loss at home as the Ontario Reign win in overtime, 4-3, on Saturday night.

The Firebirds were fueled by two goals in the second period by Kole Lind, Cale Fleruy would add another in the third.

The last three minutes of regulation Ontario crowded goalie Ales Stezka and Stezka would fall to the ice while the Reign scored. Stezka would not return. The refs kept the goal and that led to overtime where Ontario won on a 2-1 goal against Dreidger.

The Firebirds fall to 10-7-1 and are back on the ice against Abbotsford on Friday night. Be sure to stay with News Channel 3 for continuing coverage of Firebirds hockey.
