Coachella Valley Firebirds sign forward Jacob Hayhurst

The Coachella Valley Firebirds have officially announced forward Jacob Hayhurst has been signed to an AHL contract for the 2023-2024 upcoming season.

26-year-old Hayhurst has recorded six points in 24 games for the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds last season, as well as netting 22 points in 25 games with the ECHL's Worcester Railers.

Hayhurst also spent time with the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL), Wheeling Nailers (ECHL), and Greenville Swamp Rabbits (ECHL). Before the pro ranks, he played three seasons of hockey at RPI (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) in Troy, NY, before transferring to the University of Michigan for his senior year.
