It's been an interesting start to the 2023 high school football season to say the least.
Last week, we had a total of four games in town, two of which were delayed due to lightning and two of which were cancelled entirely due to a monsoon, not associated with Tropical Storm Hilary.
High school football returned this week, but two games were canceled due to a lightning storm. @blakearthur24 and @BaileyKESQ have more on this week's action in the Best Local Sports Show https://t.co/4mkfSTOvNW

This week's schedule was impacted by the aforementioned storm which hit the valley hard on Sunday and causing problems for many.
In fact, Rancho Mirage and Palm Springs both cancelled their games due to a lack of ample practice time with school closed most of the week.
Palm Springs has cancelled their game as well. Indians were supposed to be at Monrovia on Friday. @PSHSAD tells me team will re-schedule. @BLVNBTL @KESQ https://t.co/CW0UHRqOgI

The Golden Eagles welcome Jurupa Valley in our de-facto Game of the Week as they try to improve to 2-0 in the new and exciting Roy Provost era.
Be sure to watch the Best Local Sports Show with Blake Arthur and Bailey Arredondo every Friday night during the season and connect with them during the season.
