Rancho Mirage boys’ water polo season continues after securing CIF-SS championship

The Rattlers are CIF-SS champions. They defeated Ontario 11-9 on Saturday, Nov. 16 in Division 7 to secure their first title in program history.

But their season is not over yet.

The Rattlers advanced to the CIF State regional tournament with a game on Friday, Nov. 22.

Entering as the highest seed, #8 Rancho Mirage will go against the top-ranked team in Mission Viejo. The Diablos are the same team who knocked off Palm Desert in the CIF-SS playoffs. The game will be at Ocean View HS in Huntington Beach at 2:00 p.m.

Similar to the CIF-SS playoffs, the state regional tournament is single elimination.

We will have the coverage on KESQ.
