EDITOR'S NOTE: This web article will continue to update as the draft progresses.
VIRTUAL, NOT VEGAS: The 2020 NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 23rd. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the draft will be done virtually with teams making their picks via computer. It was originally supposed to be in Las Vegas but plans have since changed for safety reasons.
Commissioner Roger Goodell will announce the names of this year’s first-round draft picks from his home in New York. Teams and players will also be at home as is the norm during this pandemic.
The first round will take place on Thursday with rounds two and three airing on Friday. The last four rounds will happen on Saturday.
FIRST ROUND PICKS
- Cincinnati Bengals - QB Joe Burrow, LSU
- Washington Redskins - DE Chase Young, Ohio State
- Detroit Lions - CB Jeff Okudah - Ohio State

LOOKING AT LOS ANGELES: The Rams don't have a selection on the first day. This is barring any trades or changes made by the team.
RIVERS' REPLACEMENT: The Chargers got their guy at 6 overall in Herbert, a big-arm QB with good size (6'6"236 lbs) and underrated athleticism.
The top quarterback prospects in this year's draft are as follows:
- Joe Burrow, LSU
- Tua Tagovailoa, Alabama
- Justin Herbert, Oregon
- Jordan Love, Utah State
- Jake Fromm, Georgia
The Chargers saw two quarterbacks taken ahead of them prior to the 6th overall pick with Burrow already going to the Bengals No. 1 overall. That was almost a guarantee.
Tagavailoa then went to the Dolphins 5th overall and Herbert immediate after at 6 to LA.
