Firebirds celebrate Fuego’s birthday with 7-2 win over the Roadrunners
The Coachella Valley Firebirds defeated the Tucson Roadrunners 7-2 on Fuego's birthday at Acrisure Arena.
With a sold out crowd, the Firebirds used that momentum to the win. Marian Studenic had four points with one goal and three assists.
With seven goals total, the other goal scorers were Kole Lind, Cameron Hughes, John Hayden, Max McCormick, and Ryan Winterton.
Ales Stezka replaced Chris Driedger in the first period and saved 28 shots.
The Firebirds improve to 35-13-5-3 and extend its point streak to nine games.
Coachella Valley goes back on the road and will play the Ontario Reign on Friday, March 15th. Puck drop is set at 7:00 p.m.
