Palm Desert girls flag football has historic season end in quarterfinal loss

COACHELLA VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) -- Palm Desert girls flag football lost 39-6 to Hillcrest in Riverside on Tuesday, ending the Aztecs' season.

Prior to the loss, Palm Desert was the last local girls flag football program standing, making history as the first team to reach the third round of the CIF-SS playoffs.

This was the third season of girls flag football in the Coachella Valley, one of the most popular and fastest growing sports in the country.
