Coachella Valley Lakers announce theme night schedule for inaugural season

PALM DESERT, Calif. (KESQ) -- The Coachella Valley Lakers have announced the team’s theme and promotional nights for its inaugural 2026–27 season at Acrisure Arena, establishing a lineup of new traditions designed to celebrate the people and communities of the Coachella Valley.

The inaugural season theme schedule will feature six concepts over seven home games, beginning with the historic Inaugural Season Tip-Off on November 6 and continuing through Fan Appreciation Night at the team’s regular-season home finale on March 18.

November 6 – 7:00 P.M.

A new era of professional basketball in the Coachella Valley officially begins as the CV Lakers take the court at Acrisure Arena for the first time. The first 4,000 fans through the doors will receive a collectible reversible CV Lakers bucket hat. Fans will be encouraged to wear the designated gold or purple side based on their arena seating section, transforming Acrisure Arena into a signature gold-and-purple audience for the historic first home game.

Season of Giving | Home Team for the Holidays

The CV Lakers kick off Acrisure Arena’s Season of Giving while celebrating their first holiday season as the desert’s new home team. The evening will spotlight community, generosity, and the spirit of giving, with opportunities throughout the game for fans to support a local nonprofit organization and the Coachella Valley community. The first 500 fans will receive a collectible CV Lakers holiday stocking stuffer.

February 2 – 7:00 P.M.

The CV Lakers celebrate Black History Month with a special evening honoring Black history, culture, achievement, and the icons who continue to inspire our communities. The first 500 fans will receive a commemorative giveaway item created in celebration of the night.

February 15 – 1:00 P.M.

Families are invited to spend the Presidents Day holiday with the CV Lakers for a special 1:00 p.m. matinee at Acrisure Arena. The afternoon will feature family-focused basketball entertainment and activities designed to make the holiday a memorable day at the arena. The first 500 fans will receive a free CV Lakers T-shirt.

February 25 and 26 – 7:00 P.M.

Los CV Lakers Launch Nights

The CV Lakers officially introduce Los CV Lakers, a new team identity celebrating the culture, community and fans that help define the Coachella Valley. The back-to-back launch nights will bring the Los CV Lakers identity to life through special branding, entertainment and in-game experiences celebrating the connection between basketball and Latino culture. The first 500 fans each night will receive a collectible Los CV Lakers merchandise item.

March 18 – 7:00 P.M.

Home Closer | Fan Appreciation Night

Fan Appreciation Night will recognize the community that helped welcome the team to its new home and commemorate the memories created throughout the historic first season. Fans will have access to a special commemorative photo opportunity designed to capture and remember their inaugural-season CV Lakers experience.
