CV star Ryan Rumsey earns play of the week honors for second time this season

COACHELLA VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) -- For the second time this season, Coachella Valley senior Ryan Rumsey has been voted the KESQ High School Football Play of the Week winner.

Rumsey earned the Week 6 honor for his 50-yard touchdown in the Arabs’ 28-7 victory over rival Indio in Friday night’s Bell Game.

The big play helped Coachella Valley extend its winning streak against the Rajahs to 15 consecutive years.

Fans voted throughout the weekend to determine the Week 6 winner, with Rumsey ultimately earning the most votes.

It marks the second time Rumsey has taken home Play of the Week honors this season.
