First Alert Weather Alert: Tracking rain and flooding

A First Alert Weather Alert will be in place through this morning as we track lingering showers/storms that developed behind the cold front.

Rainfall totals were in line with what we anticipated from this storm system, and more rain is on the way early next week.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 10 AM. Runoff from the mountains may still pose a flood risk during this time.

A Wind Advisory goes into effect for the Valley at 10 a.m., lasting until 4 a.m. tomorrow.

Arriving from the west, wind will strengthen throughout the day, with gusts exceeding 30 MPH for many desert communities.

We will have a brief break in the wet weather over the weekend. Another round of significant rain is forecast for the start of next week which has prompted another First Alert Weather Alert for Monday and Tuesday.
