A ridge of high pressure remains in place, keeping conditions dry and temperatures warmer than normal. We will feel the effects of this ridge through the rest of the weekend. The normal temperature for Palm Springs this time of year is around 67°. Temperatures will remain in the 70's through Tuesday.

By Sunday night, we are watching for a Santa Ana wind event. A High Wind Watch is in effect beginning 6 p.m. Sunday through 12 p.m. Tuesday. Areas of winds will be from the Northeast 20-30 mph with gusts in the range 60-70 mph. The valley floor is looking at gust speeds 20-30 mph. These gusty winds can create hazardous driving conditions, especially for those driving through mountain passes. It will be possible that a High Wind Warning will be issued for this event. Keep with your First Alert weather team for any updates.

As for temperatures the next three days, enjoy it! It is a gorgeous weekend and great to head outdoors!
