Temperatures today reached into the 70's again. This is warmer than normal. The average for Palm Springs today is 68°. Temperatures will continue to stay above average for tomorrow with some cooling on the way.

Gusty winds have surrounded areas of the Coachella Valley through the morning and afternoon. With peak gusts being recorded during the morning hours. Winds will weaken heading throughout the evening and into tomorrow morning. Until then, a Wind Advisory is in effect now through 9 a.m. Tuesday. Northeast winds 20-30 mph with gusts reaching up to 50 mph will still be possible through local mountains and passes.

Onshore flow returns tomorrow and this will help to cool temperatures slightly. We are still expected to remain in the lower 70's, but the 60's will move back in by Wednesday. Temperatures will stay on the cooler end through the rest of the week.

For local mountains there is a slight chance for rain showers and some flurries heading into Thursday. Little to no accumulation is expected. We will continue to watch these chances closely.
