Temperatures are warming up, winds become gusty this evening

Yesterday, Palm Springs reached a high temperature of 78°. The average for this time of the year was 85°. Today, the average sits at 86°. Temperatures will be warmer today but still below the seasonal average.

Several disturbances will provide weak troughing over California Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures in the desert will remain in the lower 80s. Areas west of the mountains, including the mountains, will have the potential for some light precipitation in the morning and overnight hours. This can create some slick roadways. The desert will remain dry.

Winds will increase again heading into this evening.

These onshore winds will be gusty Sunday night through Tuesday morning. There will be a potential for the National Weather Service to issue a Wind Advisory for this time frame with some areas seeing gusts exceeding 50 mph.

Temperatures will stay constant in the lower 80s for a few days. By Wednesday, they will hike up into the 90s.
