Showers wrap up tonight, warmer weekend on the way

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (KESQ) The last of this week’s showers are winding down tonight as the low pressure system behind the cooler, wetter stretch moves out of Southern California.

Clouds lingered over the Coachella Valley on Friday, with a few light showers hanging on over the local mountains into the afternoon. Highs only reached the upper 70s, well below normal for late October.

Expect a partly cloudy, breezy night on the valley floor with lows in the low 60s before winds ease on Saturday.

The weekend looks dry and sunny with highs back in the mid 80s Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatures peak in the upper 80s Monday and Tuesday, near normal for this time of year, then ease back into the low to mid 80s by midweek.
