Today, temperatures stayed on the mild side below average. Compared to yesterday where high temperatures reached into the lower 80s. Palm Springs reached a high temperature of 72°. More sunshine allowed temperatures to climb a few degrees higher.

Palm Springs as of 4:30 p.m. picked up on a trace of rainfall. Idyllwild picked up on 0.22" as of 2 p.m. Rain has been light and will continue to diminish overnight tonight.

The San Bernardino mountains through midnight tonight will have a Winter Weather Advisory in place. Areas above 6000 ft. have the potential to see between 1"-3" of snow with areas above 7000 ft. seeing 3"-6".

An area of low pressure was in control for today but will be replaced with high pressure heading into the end of our weekend. That is what is going to lead to temperatures warming up and conditions drying out.

Temperatures can be expected to be back in the lower 80s by Monday.
