The normal temperature in Palm Springs this time of year is 76°. Temperatures will be above that for the remainder of the work week before changes move in by the weekend.

A weak area of high pressure will remain in control through Friday, keeping temperatures warm and above normal for the rest of the work week.

There is a slight chance for some showers this weekend. Confidence remains low for these chances. More chances, potentially heavy rainfall will be possible next week. We will continue to watch these chances closely through the rest of the week.

You can expect temperatures to remain above the seasonal normal by 5°-10°. Temperatures cooling back into the 70s this weekend as a trough swings into Southern California.

Another thing to remember heading into the weekend is Daylight Savings Time. This begins Sunday March 8th at 2 a.m. where clocks will spring forward one hour. Sunrise time goes to about 7:05 a.m. with sunset at about 6:48 p.m. for Sunday.
